Lendlease – International Towers Sydney (ITS) | Sydney, Australia

One of the world’s most sustainable commercial precincts has not one, but THREE skyscrapers leading Australia’s efforts to combat climate change! 🇦🇺

Located on the harbour foreshore at Barangaroo, International Towers Sydney (ITS) is Australia’s first large-scale carbon-neutral community and part of the Lendlease International Towers Sydney Trust (LLITST), the most sustainable office fund in Australia and the world. ITS has helped achieved an abundance of high-level sustainability awards, such as:

🏆 GRESB Green Star of 5 Stars
🏆 5.5 Star NABERS Energy across all office buildings
🏆 6 Star NABERS Indoor Environment in Towers Two and Three
🏆 Platinum WELL Core & Shell in Towers Two and Three
🏆 6 star Green Star Performance across all office buildings

What makes ITS a monument of sustainability?

♻️ 97% of all construction waste was recycled, with the construction of a concrete plant on-site having saved over 30,000 truck transports and 5,000 tonnes of carbon emissions.

🌊 Cooling systems using sea water from Sydney Harbour, conserving almost half a million litres of drinking water every day.

☀️ 6,000 sqm of solar panels providing energy for public space lighting and the Recycled Water Plant, along with coloured ‘fins’ draped along the exterior façades of the towers that minimise heat from direct sunlight and reduce the need for powered air conditioning.

🏢 Glass technology that filters UV rays and a cooling system that circulates fresh air, as well as natural light within interior workspaces that create a natural environment and produce long-term health and productivity benefits.
