Building heroes

BNP Paribas Fortis | Brussels, Belgium

Belgium brings its sustainability ‘A game’ with the newly delivered HQ of BNP Paribas – a passive building providing employees top-notch working conditions 🙌

BNP Paribas Fortis is located in Rue Montagne du Parc in the heart of Brussels. With both a BREEAM Official Excellent and Passive House certification, the property is a shining example of how a wide variety of #buildingheroes have joined forces to create a truly sustainable, beautiful and innovative workplace.

Fortis features solar panels on the roof and seasonal thermal energy storage. The latter guarantees optimal thermal comfort based on 14,000 m³ of water stored in the basements coupled together with heat pumps. This system, combined with the excellent airtightness of the building envelope, eliminates the need for fossil fuels and thus significantly reduces the structure’s carbon footprint 🌿

Round of applause 👏
