Building heroes

Santos Place | Brisbane, Australia

This Brisbane building stands tall both in stature and its efforts to minimise its environmental impact – but what makes it so special? 👀

Santos Place is a 41-storey commercial office building forming part of the North Quarter Precinct in Brisbane’s CBD. The building is made from local timber and stone that provides a less corporate way of developing the city, while dazzling Brisbane’s central city skyline 🏙️

Santos Place is one of the first and largest buildings in Australia to be awarded the highest possible 6 star Green Star – Office Design and As-Built v2 rating by the Green Building Council of Australia 🏆 It features an energy-efficient, gas-powered tri-generation system, rainwater tanks, passive heating and cooling, motion-sensor lighting as well as having been constructed with 20% recycled concrete and 90% recycled steel ♻️
