Find out how hello energy got inspired during the October sustainability month
This October, we brought additional awareness to sustainability
. Winter is coming and energy prices are high currently, so we found it a good moment for extra attention to this topic. And you know what? It gave us interesting insights! Read further to learn more about these lessons.
Inspiring conversations with colleagues
We had interesting conversations with colleagues about their sustainability level. One example is this interview with Lutger.
All the beliefs of our colleagues about how to make the world a better place, and which green actions they take daily, inspired us all. We realized these conversations have lots of similarities with tenant engagement, the topic on which hello energy works hard every day. Conversations about energy saving and the climate are important, and made us rethink our own behavior. There is always room for improvement, right? And even better, it can stimulate engagement in sustainable actions.
The new hello energy community
Two weeks ago, we launched the new hello energy community. This feature supports conversations about sustainability among tenants, which (as you probably just read) is an important part of tenant engagement.
Although we worked already for months on the hello energy community, the release fitted well in our sustainability month. Because talking face-to-face about sustainability is one thing, but providing the tools to involve your tenants in the sustainable transition is a second.
Poll: willing to do more about sustainability in the office?
Often our clients wonder to what extent their tenants and users are willing to participate in sustainable activities. So we thought: why not ask them ourselves? Therefore, we conducted multiple polls on LinkedIn (see images below). One poll was about the desire to do more about sustainability at work, and another poll asked which challenges were most effective for an organization.
All your votes gave us interesting insights which we can use for our hello energy community. First of all, it made us happy to see that every voter is open to more sustainable activities at the office. Secondly, it turns out there is still plenty of room for improvement within companies regarding this topic. An insight that gives the hello energy team new input to focus on!

We enjoyed the sustainability month and are taking the refreshing insights into our daily work and conversations with clients. We hope you got inspired as well and we wish you a pleasant day.
